Trio in chase for ONGC deep-water rig contract

THREE leading international drilling giants are battling it out to land an offshore rig contract from India's Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) that involves the charter of a deep-water drillship for a key exploration campaign off the country's east coast. Project observers said that technical and commercial offers were recently submitted by players for the deep-water rig tender, which was floated by ONGC earlier this year.
