摘要

CHEVRON has confirmed that one of the three liquefied natural gas trains at its Gorgon project in Western Australia will remain offline until at least next month following the discovery of cracks. The train was scheduled to return to production in July following the completion of its first major turnaround since commencing production. However, cracks on the eight propane heat exchangers, or kettles, at Train 2 were found during the maintenance programme. Chevron's chief financial officer Pierre Breber confirmed in a conference call with analysts late last week that the maintenance programme had been extended from July until September as a result of the issues with the Train 2 heat exchangers.
