UK awards event set for online airing after Covid-19 effects

The UK's annual Offshore Achievement Awards (OAA) is the latest oil and gas event gearing up to go online for the first time ever. Originally planned to take place at the P&J Live venue in Aberdeen on 19 March, the event, organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section, was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A virtual ceremony will now be streamed across a range of online platforms on 14 August. Broadcaster Rachel Riley will return as the host for the evening.
