Green energy shift puts wind in Aker Solutions' sails

AKER Solutions is targeting opportunities in the green energy transition as the Norwegian contractor spins off its carbon capture and offshore wind businesses into separate entities and plans a merger with affiliate player Kvaerner. Engineering and construction contractor Kvaerner will be absorbed into the revamped Aker Solutions under the structural shift orchestrated by the Oslo-listed parent of both companies, Aker ASA, that is controlled by Norwegian industrial magnate Kjell Inge Rokke.
