UK-BASED services giant Petrofac has won a $135 million contract to provide new water treating facilities for North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) in Kazakhstan. The engineering, procurement, construction, pre-com-missioning and commissioning contract will be carried out by Petrofac's Engineering & Production Services (EPS) division, in a joint venture with Kazakhstan company Isker. NCOC is operator of the North Caspian Project. Petrofac said the workscope for the 30-month project includes an inlet stream screening to remove debris, feed water tanks with oil skimmer and pumps, a clarifier system including flocculation, coagulation and oil skimmer, treated wastewater storage and pumps, sludge treatment and related utilities.
