RUSSIAN state-controlled gas monopoly Gazprom is set for a large 3D seismic data shoot on the Khandinsky block in East Siberia's Irkutsk region, with subsidiary Gazprom Nedra opening a tender to select a contractor for the job. The contractor will have to commit to collecting about 1400 square kilometres of 3D seismic on Khandinsky from July this year to February 2022, with the interpreted data to be presented to Gazprom Nedra by September 2022. Gazprom Nedra will pay a maximum of 336 million roubles ($5 million) for the job. The deadline for submitting offers has been set for close of business on 3 July. The Khandinsky block covers more than 6300 square kilometres and has recoverable gas reserves assessed at about 1 trillion cubic metres.
