Kinder Morgan's Elba Island facility back on line after fire

KINDER Morgan is restarting production at its Elba Island liquefied natural gas project in the US state of Georgia, following a fire earlier this month. Production at three of the modular trains was halted in mid-May when a fire occurred at a mixed refrigerant compressor. A Kinder Morgan spokesperson late last week confirmed to Upstream that the restart process had commenced at two of the trains - units 1 and 3 - but a third train, where the fire broke out, still remained off line.
