CARIGALI Hess Operating Company has unveiled a plan to drill a series of new offshore wells at its operations in the Malaysia-Thailand joint development area. The Bumi Deep drilling programme will see seven wells drilled from existing platforms with the aim of "further developing the existing and significant resource base in place", said US independent Hess, which is a 50% owner along with Petronas Carigali in Carigali Hess Operating Company. A spokesperson for Hess said there would be no rig requirement for the programme, which will run for several months starting next year.
