Total weighs up fresh bids for Tilenga project

FRENCH supermajor Total is evaluating fresh commercial bids from two contracting groups vying to land a prestigious turnkey contract for its Tilenga project in Uganda. Upstream understands that McDermott-owned CB&I and Fluor each submitted updated prices a few weeks ago and both are now in talks with Total. The US rivals are battling hard to land an engineering, procurement and construction contract for a major central processing facility.
