Start-up for Mero-2 slips into 2023

BRAZIL'S Petrobras has acknowledged that output from the Mero-2 pre-salt project in the Santos basin has fallen slightly behind schedule, with first oil from the Sepetiba floating production, storage and offloading vessel now expected in early 2023, writes Fabio Palmigiani. The FPSO, to be supplied by Netherlands-based SBM Offshore, was originally meant to enter operations in 2022, but a late conclusion of the contracting process led Petrobras to adjust the timeline.
