Wintershall aims to spin drillbit in Potiguar basin

GERMAN oil company Winter-shall Dea has unveiled plans to begin drilling in Brazil's northern equatorial margin in 2021, writes Fabio Palmigiani. The company submitted a licensing exploration programme this week to federal regulator Ibama that calls for the drilling of a prospect in Block POT-M-857 in the Potiguar basin. The three-month campaign is earmarked to take place in April 2021, according to documents obtained by Upstream.
