THREE leading international offshore contractors are battling it out for a sizeable subsea contract from India's state-controlled Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for work on the seventh phase of its pipeline replacement project (PRP) off the country's west coast. Sources familiar with the tender process told Upstream that technical and commercial offers for the offshore project were recently submitted to the Indian giant by at least three contenders. Upstream reported in January that ONGC had floated tenders for the PRP-7 project, with the job likely to be executed across two field seasons.
