Schlumberger homes in on Vaca Muerte sale

OILFIELD services giant Schlumberger expects to complete in the next couple of months the sale of its 49% working interest in the Bandurria Sur block in the prolific Neuquen basin in the Vaca Muerta shale formation in Argentina. In a recent conference call with analysts, Schlumberger chief executive Olivier Le Peuch said that "the process of asset divestiture for Bandurria Sur in Argentina is actually progressing very well". Le Peuch said: "We are in an advanced stage of the divestiture there, with closing anticipated during the first quarter of 2020, after all standard closing conditions are met."
