Devon in new deal for Stack

US independent Devon Energy plans to jointly develop part of its Stack acreage in the Ana-darko basin of Oklahoma in a joint venture with chemicals giant Dow. Under the terms of the agreement confirmed this week, Dow will commit $100 million to fund drilling over the next four years in exchange for half of Devon's working interest in 133 undrilled locations. The average working interest is estimated at 60% "across a mix of standard and extended-reach lateral drilling locations", according to a release.
