TGS and Fairfield Geotechnolo-gies are teaming up to carry out a multi-client 3D survey in the US onshore shale basin of the Permian. The Channel 3D survey will initially cover an area of 440 square kilometres in Lea County, New Mexico, focusing on the San Simon Channel that separates the Central basin platform from the Northwestern shelf and is believed to harbour fresh resource potential in the Permian basin.
