THE coronavirus outbreak has dramatically reduced China's imports of liquefied natural gas, with the lull in volumes set to persist this month. Volumes in February sank by 39% compared to January, to 3.6 million tonnes for the month, people involved with the country's LNG trade said. March import volumes will remain bearish at an estimated 3.7 million tonnes, even though more and more businesses have resumed operations as the spread of the virus is tapering off in China, they added.
