Barnacle set to become Norwegian giant's third UK field start-up

EQUINOR is gearing up to begin production from its Barnacle field in the next couple of weeks in what will be the third UK field start-up of the year for the Norwegian state-controlled company, writes Rob Watts. In September, Equinor brought on stream the Utgard field, which, like Barnacle, straddles the UK-Norway median line. This was preceded in August by first oil from Equinor's flagship UK oil project -Mariner.
