Springfield spuds Afina-1x wildcat in Tano basin off Ghana

ACCRA-based operator Springfield E&P has spudded its debut deep-water wildcat off Ghana. Deploying the drillship Stena Forth in West Cape Three Points (WCTP) Block 2, the company is drilling ahead on the Afina-1x well. The well location lies close to the Beech discovery that extends into Springfield's block from Aker Energy's adjacent acreage.
