EIA eyes US output growth

PRODUCTION from several onshore shale basins is expected to push US crude oil production up by another 85,000 barrels per day, as the nation anticipates reaching yet another output record in September. Most of that growth will come from the prolific Permian basin of west Texas and south-east New Mexico which will climb by 75,000 bpd to a record 4.4 million bpd, according to a monthly report from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
