Benin is chosen for route

CHINA National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is poised to approve a 1800-kilometre pipeline to export crude oil from Niger via the Port of Seme in Benin, driving economic growth in both countries while galvanising upstream prospec-tivity in the Agadem basin, writes Barry Morgan. The CNPC feasibility study to route crude west to the Benin border and south to the Atlantic coast was submitted to the Niger government just two weeks ago, with UK firm Pen-spen appointed to review the scheme.
