COLOMBIA'S oil production fell slightly in February, while natural gas output grew amid higher demand, according to data from the Ministry of Mines & Energy. Average crude output in the country fell by 0.7% from January to February to about 892,530 barrels per day. The agency said lower production from several fields such as Indico, Acordionero, Candelilla and Rubiales affected production for the month. Year over year, however, output was up 8.4%. Average natural gas production grew 0.4% from January to February to 1061 million cubic feet, an increase of 11% year over year, due to higher demand, the ministry said. Crude production so far in 2019 has grown 6.4% over the same time period in 2018.
