CRUDE futures perked up on Wednesday, trading back towards five-month highs as Opec output cuts coupled with US sanctions on Iran and Venezuela heightened worries about tight supplies. The market had started the week on a strong footing amid intensified fighting in Libya but weakness set in on Tuesday when Russian comments signalling the possible easing of a supply-cutting deal with Opec undermined sentiment.
