Chinese target for Magnolia

AUSTRALIA-LISTED Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd (LNG Ltd) is looking to China to take the bulk of exports from its Magnolia LNG project in the US to enable it to take a final investment decision. Company officials said LNG Ltd is talking to a number of buyers in China to sell a minimum of 3 million tonnes of LNG to help it sanction the project, which is expected soon. They said most Chinese buyers are currently more interested in short-term deals with smaller volumes so as to meet peak winter demand.
