Karish North spurs new drive

ENERGEAN Oil & Gas is considering drilling another exploration well this year after the Greek independent struck up to an estimated 1.5 trillion cubic feet of gas at its latest wildcat off Israel. The London-listed operator may be able to find room in its current drilling campaign for the unplanned probe if the next three wells are drilled ahead of schedule, which was the case with the current Karish North discovery well. Energean, which operates the under-development Karish & Tanin scheme, said Karish North has discovered an estimated gas-in-place resource of between 1 Tcf and 1.5 Tcf in the target B and C sands.
