Bid battle for LNG tankers

STATE-OWNED Qatar Petroleum (QP) has unveiled its eagerly-awaited tender for the construction of the liquefied natural gas carrier fleet that will transport new LNG supplies from the North Field Expansion (NFE) project, writes Nassir Shirkhani. The tender foresees initial delivery of 60 carriers, with the potential to exceed 100 new carriers over the next 10 years.
