SSE still looking to sell

UK energy supplier SSE is continuing with efforts to sell off its gas production business, including interests in the Greater Laggan Area in the West of Shetland area, which no longer fits with its decar-bonisation agenda. SSE first stated late last year that in future gas production would be a "non-core activity". It repeated in its full-year financial results statement on 22 May, for the 12 months to the end of March, that it continues to take "active steps to prepare for its disposal of investments in this activity".
