FRENCH giant Total has con firmed that production is set to begin from its high-pressure high-temperature Culzean development in the UK central North Sea within a matter of days. 'Culzean is going to be delivered in a few days' time, ahead of schedule, under budget and with a very good safety record,' Jean-Luc Guiziou, the managing director of Total E&P UK, told Oil & Gas UK's annual conference in Aberdeen this week. 'Culzean is a good news story for the UK with about 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, 80% of it being gas. Cul zean contributes to the UK's security of supply.'
