BW OFFSHORE was taking a big step with the Tortue project off Gabon by assuming responsibility for a range of different workscopes that it did not typically deal with, from reservoir risk and drilling to the installation of subsea umbilicals, flowlines and risers, writes Kathrine Schmidt. Business development vice president Thomas Kolanski says he was pleased by how well the team BW assembled worked together to address the challenges, including the health, safety and environment personnel tasked with managing risks.
