INDIA'S state-controlled Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has floated a tender for the sixth phase of its pipeline replacement project (PRP-6) comprising several subsea pipeline segments off the country's western coast. Two sources told Upstream that ONGC recently tendered the much-awaited PRP-6 project and bids are likely to be submitted on 16 April. The job is expected to be worth about $300 million. Those expected to show interest in the tender include Malaysia's Sapura Energy, Abu Dhabi's National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) and Valentine Maritime, Indonesia's Timas Suplindo and domestic players Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Afcons. The workscope comprises sub-sea pipelines in 22 offshore segments, one source said. It is expected to include the engineering, procurement, construction, transportation and installation of about 124 kilometres of subsea pipes.
