When some residents of the tiny town of Deer Trail, Colo., decided to issue "hunting licenses" for shooting down small unmanned aircraft, it didn't sit well with Falcon UAV, based in Aurora, and which sells its aircraft to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, another Deer Trail neighbor. A drone-hunting ordinance was put to a vote by the town council in August and came up a tie, meaning the issue will go to a special election for the entire town in early August. Meanwhile, hunting licenses are already being sold at $25 a pop.
