Q & A: USGS National UAS project Office

Editor's note: The following is a question and answer session with Michael E. Hutt of the U.S. Geological Survey's UAS Project Office. The USGS is the United States' largest water, earth, and biological science and civilian mapping agency and collects, monitors, analyzes and provides scientific understanding about natural resource conditions, issues and problems, including studying climate and land-use change and seeking to minimize the loss of life and property from natural disasters. In recent years, that mission has included the use of unmanned systems.
