Mining monitoring package launched

SPAIN/ITALY —Two monitoring technology companies, Worldsensing and IDS GeoRadar (part of Hexagon) have cooperated to launch a mine safety monitoring system. A spokesperson said, "The integrated system will be the first to offer surface, sub-surface and geospatial monitoring in a single package, greatly simplifying contracting and deployment. It will exploit the capabilities of Worldsensing's Loadsensing loT-based wireless monitoring system to reduce the cost and delay associated with traditional wired or manually read sensor networks.
