摘要

The authors would like to express their thanks to the discusser for his interest in the paper and for providing us with the opportunity to present additional comments and to clarify certain aspects of our paper that may not have been clear. In the recent paper by Khademi Hamidi et al. (2010b), hereafter referred to as "the Paper", the authors have made an attempt to answer a basic question, "Is it possible to reliably use the rock mass classification systems in TBM performance prediction and if not, should these classification systems be modified".
