摘要

A method to reduce the short-wave instability of the system of moment equations based on matching the local and balance expressions for closure moments is considered. The matching supplements to the closure moments are presented as individual differential equations and are included into the general system of equations. Numerical tests performed for a sample problem of a plane shock wave profile show that the short-wave instability region of the resultant system is shifted toward higher Mach numbers.
