APPENDICITE À GAUCHE : À PROPOS D'UN CAS EXCEPTIONNEL CHEZ L'ADULTE DIAGNOSTIQUÉ À ANTANANARIVO

The purpose of this report is to describe a case of appendicitis in the left iliac fossa. Clinical presentation involved pain in the right iliac fossa with all classical signs of appendicitis. Anomalous location of the appendix was suspected on the basis of a special clinical feature and the patient's family history. Confirmation was achieved by colic contrast enema before surgical treatment.%Les auteurs rapportent une observation d'appendicite aiguë sur appendice logeant dans la fosse iliaque gauche. Bien que son tableau clinique soit celui d'une forme classique, une particularité clinique et les antécédents familiaux du patient font suspecter une situation anormale de l'appendice qui sera confirmée en préopératoire par un lavement baryte, facilitant ainsi le geste chirurgical.
