The 11th edition of Trenchless Asia, taking place in Jakarta for the first time, is well placed to explore infrastructure growth in the region with the country's 2015-19 US$460 billion infrastructure development program. Across the city, major projects are incorporating trenchless techniques to provide economic solutions and reduced environmental impact, during the installation and refurbishment of underground services. Trenchless Asia was first held in Singapore in 1995 and has subsequently been held in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Malaysia. Building on the demand, the event took place in Kuala Lumpur in 2018, attracting more than 1,200 visitors and conference delegates, 79 exhibiting companies and 29 speakers from 11 countries.
