Australia is well-known for its ingenuity when it comes to water operations and asset management, which is why there are not one but two streams at Ozwater dedicated to showcasing Australia's innovative approaches to managing and operating water assets. A stream dedicated to sewer condition and rehabilitation will explore how to safely shut down a pressure sewer network in an emergency and offer an investigation into the characteristics of corrosion in sewer pipes. Sessions dedicated to pipeline leakage and monitoring include technical presentations on mobility mapping to save billions of litres of water and consequence assessment of catastrophic water main failure, as well as case studies on lessons learned from advanced pressure management and the performance of permanent acoustic monitoring systems.
