Coal dust losses from open top railcars have caused a range of problems in the rail haulage of coal in the USA. Some of these issues were highlighted when coal dust was identified as a major contributing factor in two significant derailments in Wyoming during 2005. Consequently Ecofab is proud to announce that it has developed a lightweight railcar cover system that will provide a long-term, environmentally-friendly and cost-effective solution to these issues.
