Hella launches independent trailer lighting

Lighting and electronics business Hella has launched a battery-powered lighting system for trailers, to ensure the equipment can be seen by other road users when decoupled and parked up at night. Designed in conjunction with trailer maker Huffermann Transportsysteme, the Park Safety Fix (PS-Fix) is a plug-and-play solution, integrated into the wiring of a Hella EasyConn system. At its core is an electronics box, which can operate the lighting in the trailer's decoupled state. Control unit and battery packs are integrated into a 30 × 22 × 20cm box mounted on the vehicle's side.
