Perth's Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses

On 12 September 2004, the Western Australian Government officially launched a trio of hydrogen fuel cell powered Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses into trial service in the Transperth fleet. Part of an important international trial of fuel cell technology, these are the first hydrogen-powered public transport vehicles in regular service in Australia.
