The Rugby World Cup 2003, involving 48 games, drew huge interest and large mass transport movements in October and November. Matches were played all over Australia from 10 October 2003 with the final (won by England) on 22 November. While it is impracticable to provide details of all transport arrangements to all the venues, the following summarises some of the key arrangements and comments reported by TA's observers. The Rugby World Cup was staged at venues in and around Sydney (Telstra Stadium at Homebush Bay and Aussie Stadium), Melbourne (Telstra Dome), Brisbane (Suncorp Stadium), Perth (Subiaco Oval), Adelaide (Adelaide Oval), Canberra (Canberra Stadium), Gosford (Advocate Stadium), Townsville (Dairy Farmers Stadium), Wollongong (WIN Stadium) and Launceston (York Park).
