From 1500-1900 on 4 February people were able to walk the section of line between Crofton Downs Station and the Wadestown crossing loop on the Johnsonville Line.This was to allow inspection of the upgrade work that had just been completed. The line had been closed since 28 December so that the track bed in all seven tunnels could be lowered and the three crossing loops extended and improvements made to platforms at Crofton Downs, Ngaio,and Awarua Street.The line reopened on 6 February.
