On 3 December 2014 SBS Transit converted six bus routes to accessible to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This brings the total number of accessible services offered by the operator to 182. Close to 90% of SBS Transits basic bus routes are now wheelchair accessible. The Bedok Integrated Transport Hub, Singapore's largest interchange opened on 30 November. It joins six similar hubs in Toa Payoh, Sengkang, Ang Mo Kio, Boon Lay, Serangoon and Clementi. It services about 30 bus routes, double the number that operate from other interchanges. Speaking at the opening, Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew said integrated transport hubs are one of several programs to improve the travel experience for bus passengers.
