Greenspun's move toward XML got underway late last year when the company implemented the FDX Cross Media Server from Snap-Bridge. Combining search, archive and storage capabilities. FDX is a browser-based application that handles XML formats including Adobe's XMP standard, DocBook and NITF. The system now serves as the core content repository and management system for all Greenspun Web sites, including Lasvegassun.com, the Vegas.com travel site and half a dozen magazine and real estate sites.
