Synthesis of barium mercaptides and application of antimony/barium mercaptides

Mercaptoacetic acid, isooctyl thioglycolate and barium hydroxide used as start materials, barium bis (2- ethylhexyl thioglycolate) (Ba(2EHTG)_2), barium thioglycolate (Ba(TG)) and barium bisthioglycolate (Ba(TG)_2) were synthesized. Their optimum synthetic techniques were discussed, and some physicochemical data were reported. Infrared spectroscopy and elemental analysis methods were used to identify the structures.
