摘要

Objects weighing a few kilograms and having a large flat surface can be levitated near an ultrasonic vibration surface. A gap of minimal thickness is formed between the object and the vibration surface, and the acoustic radiation pressure in the gap is considered to the root cause of generation of the levitation force. The purpose of this study is to clarify the mechanism and the characteristics of the ultrasonic levitation.
