摘要

This paper presents a new modified Reynolds equation for ultrathin gas film lubrication in the whole range of Knudsen numbers. Weber's technique, which combines the viscous slip-flow equation and free molecule flow equation, is improved by adding another coefficient to describe more precisely Poiseuille flow rate between two parallel plates at an arbitrary knudsen number. It is shown that the theoretical flow rate by the improved technique agrees well with Dong's experimental results in the side range of Knudsen numbers from 0.003 to 900.
