WIPP Waste Analysis Plan Improvements and Remote-Handled TRU Waste Permitting

The administrative history leading up to the pending decision by the Secretary of the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) regarding remote-handled (RH) transuranic (TRU) waste began on June 28, 2002, with the submittal of a Permit Modification Request to the NMED. Over the intervening four years, the original request has been combined with two other permit modification requests, resulting in the issuance of a draft Permit by the NMED on November 23, 2005.
