Jet Flow Mixing Measurements in the Vicinity of Rod Bundles using PIV

摘要

PIV was successfully used to obtain velocity measurements in a matched refractive index facility. With this technique velocity fields, turbulence intensities, and further statistics of the flow can be accurately measured. Further experimental work and analysis is still needed to provide accurate characterization of mixing behavior of thermal jets with high velocity and temperature gradients in the vicinity of rod bundles.
