摘要

One of the key elements in the development of the Next Generation Nuclear Plants (NGNP's) is enhancing the existing models and developing new predictive methods to model the plant's thermal hydraulic behavior. Consequently, investigation of the physical phenomena occurring within the core and the lower plenum of the core of a Very High Temperature Reactor (VHTR) which is one of the designs proposed for NGNP's is of great importance. Therefore, numerous experiments have been carried out using single or dual jets impinging into a flat plate [1,2, 3] or applying axial flow within rod bundles of different configurations [4, 5, 6] to characterize the behavior of impinging jets and the flow within the rod bundles.
